Uganda Grand Primates Tour

This is one of the most exciting and rewarding Uganda’s adventure. From the heart of Uganda to the south, south west, west, north, north east east and back to the heart.

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

You will be welcomed by a representative of Eden Adventures at Entebbe Airport. From here you will be transferred to Kampala in a Hotel pre arranged for your overnight stay.

Enroute To lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast we drive south westwards of Uganda, make a stopover at the at the Equator for cultural and nature appreciation. Have lunch in Masaka and transfer for a game at Lake Mburo National Park, you will go for an afternoon  boat ride on the lake to view game like hippos, crocodiles, Dinner and overnight at a prearranged accommodation.

Enroute To Bwindi

A morning game drive through Lake Mburo National Park where to interact  with Zebra, Elands, Impala and a variety of bird, we proceed further south west have lunch in Mbarara and from there to Bwindi National park arrive in the evening. Travellers rest for dinner and overnight stay at a prearranged accommodation.

Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast we proceed for briefing and registration by the park rangers as you get ready for gorilla tracking, You will be advised on the dos and don’ts. The ranger guide will direct you through the forest pushing and cutting your way through the impenetrable forest up to the gorillas.

This activity will take two to five hours or more. Fitness is a good thing, and you are advised to carry a walking stick, backpack, rain gears, jungle boots, insect repellants and adequate water, not less than two litres per person. You will enjoy sitting down among these apes as they eat lush vegetation, playing and grumbling and the silver back occasionally drumming their chest. Sitting besides these apes in the heart of the impenetrable jungle is awesome, considering that these are the last remaining populations of the endangered mountain gorillas. The giant size of the dominant silverbacks in the groups is amazing.

You will be mesmerized as you sit among these close relatives of man and   have the opportunities of taking pictures you may also encounter other primates: The black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, the grey cheecked mangabey, the l’ hoest monkey and red tailed monkey. As you slowly return back to the lodge and relax the rest of the evening.

Enroute To Quen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast the adventures continues to Queen Elizabeth national park. Take a game drive in search for the “tree climbing lions” which are seen during the hot hours of the day, as they lie resting on top of Figs trees. See also herds of buffaloes, elephants, topi antelopes and more. Lunch, and proceed for dinner and overnight stay at a prearranged accommodation.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast go for a game drive to experience the long tracks of the national park, in the Northern side towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. You might see lions, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs and perhaps the leopard though is shy and rare to be seen. Lunch and in the afternoon, take the most exciting safari by boat  along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife, bird’s life and opportunities for good photography You will see plenty of hippos, buffaloes and elephants drinking from the channel and if the time is right, crocodiles. Dinner and overnight stay at a prearranged accommodation

Overnight In Fortportal

Move with packed lunch to yet another morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth to the Katwe salt lake where you will experience the extraction of natural salt by local people using local technology and there after a visit to the fishing village on Lake Edward. Have lunch and transfer to Fortportal. Dinner and overnight stay at a prearranged accommodation.

Semuliki National Park

Visit to Semuliki National Park. The Semliki Valley contains numerous features associated with central rather than eastern Africa. The forest is home to numerous Central African wildlife species, birds, monkeys and butterflies and the local population includes a Batwa pygmy community that originated from the Ituri.

Semliki is one of the parks with the most diverse habitats in Africa ranging from Riparian forest, gallery rain forest, borassus palm forest and short and high grass savannahs also offers superb bird watching opportunities also the tourist will have the opportunity to boil his or her own eggs for the next meal in the magical hot springs.

In the evening drive through the park back to Fortportal.

Kibale Night Forest Walk

Travel back to Fortportal and visit the caves en route ( Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru the breasts of the mother of Mwiru). A very interesting natural site with water falls as well. Lunch in Fortportal. After lunch transfer to Kibale forest for the guided night walk in the thick forest in search for the nocturnals such as bush babies.

Chimp tracking

After breakfast, go for the Chimp tracking in the natural forest of Kibale Forest National Park experience and chat with our closest relatives the chimpanzees in the tropical rain forest. The park is known to harbour the largest number of primates in Uganda. Therefore the guided forest walk will not only reward you with chimps but with other primates like the grey cheeked Mangabeys, black and Red tailed colobus monkeys, baboons, phoestes, and others. Enroute To Muchison falls National park

Transfer to Muchison falls national park via Hoima. Lunch in Hoima. Proceed through the spectacular scenic view of the escarpment in the Albertine rift valley. Enter the park in the evening and immediately visit the top of the mighty falls where the Nile perfects its beauty. You will see how the calm Nile converges in a space of only 7 meters and transforms into a thunderous roar of white water falling deep down about 45m. There after relax at the lodge.

Muchison falls National park

Before dawn we wake up and go straight for a game drive to search for predators and early risers. The drive will reward you with game like hyenas, giraffes, Lions, birds, Hartebeests, buffalos, elephants, primates and more,  after the game drive you will return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the Bottom of the falls. The boat ride will reward you with water game like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of birds dashing and walking along the banks. Dinner and overnight stay at a prearranged accommodation

Visit the Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Kampala and visit the Rhino Sanctuary enroute at Nakasongola on the way arrive in Kampala in the evening.

Transfer to Entebbe Airport

After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Kampala. This is inclusive of an English-speaking guide, Uganda Museum, Gadafi Mosque,  Namirembe Cathedral,  and  Craft Centre  the African Village. Lunch and later transfer to the Entebbe International Airport for the onward flight.
